LinkSwitch is a stand-alone WMT debonding server designed for IP-based video workflows, ideal for organizations that don’t require SDI. It supports up to 20 live IP video streams from WMT encoders and integrates seamlessly with platforms like IQ-Sports Production.
LinkSwitch not only serves as a debonding server for Vislink’s bonded cellular solutions but also functions as a full-featured transcoder. It enables format conversion between H.265 and H.264, resizing, and repacketization to formats like RTMP, MPEG-TS, and RTSP.
With its transcoding and RTMP capabilities, LinkSwitch automatically optimizes video streams for social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, ensuring compatibility and providing an optimal web-based viewing experience. It can transcode 20 streams simultaneously, offering live previews and scalable performance in a compact 1U server.
The standard LinkSwitch model supports direct forwarding to social media, with optional transcoding features available for enhanced flexibility.
